Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or engaging Code Defence for services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Description of Services
Code Defence provides vCISO, vDPO, and VMaaS services, along with related cybersecurity and compliance offerings such as ISO 27001 support and vulnerability assessments, as described on our Services pages. Specific scope, deliverables, and timelines for any engagement are defined in a separate proposal or statement of work agreed with the client.
3. Engagement Terms
Standard retainer engagements run on a three-month minimum commitment with monthly billing thereafter, as described on our Pricing page. After the initial period, engagements continue monthly and may be adjusted or ended with thirty days' written notice from either party.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees are set out in the proposal or statement of work agreed for each engagement. Invoices are payable within the terms specified in that agreement. Late payment may result in suspension of services until the account is brought current.
5. Confidentiality
All client engagements are covered by a mutual non disclosure agreement signed before substantive work begins. Client information is held in isolated, access-controlled environments and is never shared between engagements, as described on our About page.
6. Intellectual Property
Deliverables created specifically for a client as part of a paid engagement, such as policies, risk registers, and reports, become the property of the client upon full payment. Code Defence retains ownership of its underlying methodologies, templates, and tools used to produce those deliverables.
7. Limitation of Liability
While we apply industry-standard diligence to every engagement, no cybersecurity or compliance service can guarantee the complete elimination of risk. Our liability in connection with any engagement is limited as set out in the specific service agreement signed with each client.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement in accordance with the notice period specified in the relevant service agreement. Fees for work performed up to the termination date remain payable.
9. Governing Law
These terms, and any engagement with Code Defence, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified in the applicable service agreement, typically the Kingdom of Bahrain unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
